Financial Aid

Students should discuss their specific plans with the study abroad advisor and financial aid office at their home institution (well in advance of their program) to determine what types of financial aid may be available to transfer to their overseas summer program. Students also have the option of raising individual financial support for the program from various sources outside of their college or university. PESi can provide informational resources and guidance for this process.

PESi provides a limited number of partial scholarships for its China Study Program depending on funding received from its program sponsors. These scholarships are usually in the range of $1,000-1,500 and are awarded on the basis of merit and need. Scholarship applications will not be sent or considered until the student has been accepted into the program.

Students must meet all the general requirements for the program, have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, show leadership potential, and be involved in extracurricular activities showing interest in multicultural issues and/or community service. Students interested in applying for a PESi scholarship should contact our office for more information.
