Health, Safety & Security

The health, safety and security of all China Study Program students are of paramount concern to PESi. We follow the recommendations and standards outlined in the publication, Responsible Study Abroad: Good Practices for Health & Safety developed by a task force of NAFSA: Association of International Educators. All precautions will be taken to safeguard the health and welfare of the students on our program.

The Chinese university campuses hosting the China Study Programs are safe and secure environments with restricted access and guarded gates. Each campus provides health services. The cities of Beijing and Shanghai have a number of modern western-style medical facilities. The Resident Director will be on call 24 hours a day. The orientation program will also include information and guidelines for maintaining health and safety while on campus, on field trips, or during independent travel.
